Vision for Life
Variety is raising money for high definition video cameras to be installed in hospitals so that remote experts (NETS and others) can see what is being described over the phone. Currently, newborns and children do not have access to such systems.
A Radio Telethon sponsored by Radio 2UE 954 was held on Wednesday October 27th to make this happen. Many donations were received from individuals, families and businesses. In addition, the NSW Premier committed the government to match $1 for $1 all donations up to $500,000.
Since then, Variety has raised more money for this project.
