This
process is a backup in case the PCOC system is not operational.
1.
Use the telephone console.
2. Pressthe HIRPN local button or dial 50196 or press the HIRPN remote button or dial 4994 The latter speed dial number uses the RPAH HIRPN node and should be used in case of HIRPN failure at Westmead or between the Westmead campus and other sites.
3.
Wait for the paging system to answer with a continuous
tone.
4. As soon as you hear the tone, enter the pager number (eg 27916), which is the number next to the words “HIRPN” on NETS’ contact list.
5. Press the ‘*’ key.
6. Press96338731, 96338732, 96338733– or the number you want the person to ring in on.
7. Press
the ‘*’ key again.
