Ground Ambulance Operations

Road Ambulances at NETS are operated by a team of Driver/Service Assistants employed by NETS. These team members are rostered around the clock to promptly deploy NETS' clinical teams to hospitals within road distance of the NETS Base. NETS has a fleet of ambulances comprising 3 Ford Transits and 3 Mercedes Sprinters. Their specialised design includes a unique, self-loading transverse loading system for life support units suitable for newborns, infants and young children and a conventional rear-loading stretcher-based system for life support systems for school-age children up to adult size. The ergonomic design allows single person vehicle operation and a forward-facing working environment for the clinical NETS team.
