From a central location at Bankstown, NETS ground ambulances can reach all parts of metropolitan Sydney equitably. NETS teams can reach all but distant parts of NSW by helicopter. Helicopter departures can occur without air traffic clearances; expediting the process of reaching rural hospitals. For a fixed wing response, NETS teams travel by road ambulance to Kingsford Smith Airport (30-50 minutes away) while the aircraft is prepared for the mission.
