Dr Amber Seigel | FRACP (General Paediatrics and Neonatal and Perinatal medicine) PhD (Cantab) MBBS (Sydney) BPharm (Rhodes)
Amber is a NETS Retrieval Staff Specialist, a Neonatologist and General
Paediatrician and a mum to three amazing children. Originally hailing
from South Africa, Amber undertook a PhD in Pharmacology at the
University of Cambridge as a Mandela Scholar, before heading to Australia
to embark on a career in medicine.
Amber loves being part of the NETS team, ensuring every neonate and child
in NSW has access to critical care when and where they need it. Other
passions include communication, medical education, supporting doctors in
training and ensuring gender equitable training opportunities. Research
interests include neonatal resuscitation and optimising neonatal care and
neurodevelopmental outcomes.
Amber is an APLS instructor and the Director for Clinical Training at
NETS.
