CCON or Critical Care Overbed Network is a Vision for Life system based
on Panasonic cameras which are progressively replacing a variety of old
cameras operated in different ways across NSW.
Access is from not only at NETS (or a NSW hospital) but anywhere with an
internet connection using a PC or Laptop.
Authorisation is via Staff Link credentials. From Sept 2021 access is
automatically available to all staff with a Staff Link ID. Registration
is no longer required. Some key clinicians outside of NSW also have Staff
Link access (eg. neonatologists in the ACT).
Note that eHealth has decommissioned access by non-clinicians.
Unfortunately that includes our own technical staff, including Mark
eHealth asks for any problems to be reported by calling the eHealth VC
Team via the State wide services desk on 1300 679 727 (option
#2). They'll ask which camera you're trying to access
(hospital/department/camera name/bed or bay number).
In case you're asked which LHD you're calling from, tell them it is NETS,
a statewide service. I believe they ask this question to identify any
problems within the LHD responsible for the specific hospital. SCHN
technical services have no capacity to fix any problems with cameras,
especially as there are no cameras in the SCHN.
