NETS NSW would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, a successful
New Year and a safe holiday period.
We would like to take this time to acknowledge and thank all our donors
and fundraisers - NETS really appreciates the support of the community in
helping NETS to do what we do.
Clinicians in hospitals across NSW, the ACT and beyond call NETS to ask
for help up to 30 times per day, averaging 11 new calls per day.
We really appreciate the participation of regional and tertiary experts
in joining with NETS to advise on emergency care from the earliest time;
often well before any emergency transport occurs.
We value our NETS' teams which travel by NETS' ambulance, or sometimes
helicopter or plane to reach the bedside and deliver intensive care
before and during transport to a hospital which can continue the
necessary care and treatment.
NETS transports are supported by our highly valued emergency road
vehicle operators, the biomedical staff who keep our life support
equipment ready and reliable, the technical experts in IT and
Telemedicine who maintain our communications, data and Vision-for-Life
tools to help us make the best plans for our patients and support the
best care for children at a distance and our administrative staff who
ensure the business of clinical care continues around the clock.
At this time of the year, there will be festivities for families and
communities and hopefully many will have a break from the normal daily
activities of life to relax, reflect and to celebrate.
NETS will of course be business as usual throughout the Christmas and
New Year period, should any sick baby, infant or child need our help, we
will be there.
