Staff changes
Some of our long-standing senior medical staff members moved on to other positions during the year.
- Dr Tom Grattan-Smith retired from retrieval medicine
- Dr Trish Woods moved to Western Australia to a neonatal consultant post at King Edward Hospital
- Dr Melissa Luig moved to head up the Neonatal ICU at Westmead Hospital
- Dr Anil Gautam moved to far north Queensland to paediatric intensive care in Cairns Base Hospital
- Dr Tracey Lutz moved to a full time position in Neonatology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

Presentations
Our Clinical Nurse Consultant, Tina Kendrick won the best nursing paper at the ANZ Intensive Care conference in Auckland in 2015. Her paper described a two phased study of the competency standards for practice for critical care nurses.
Dr Andrew Berry was the guest of Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada as the Paul Swyer visiting professor. He gave the keynote address at a conference at that hospital. He also presented at grand rounds on NETS and the NETS' model of care at the East Maine Medical Centre in Maine, USA.
